Eliza is based in Toronto, Canada. She majored in decorative textile design and studied painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography at the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Art in Łódz, Poland (1997-2002).
From her arrival in Canada in 2002 until 2020, Eliza worked in the Toronto fashion and film industries. She worked with designer Izzy Camilleri for several years. She has collaborated on collections for international clients, boutiques, and the runway. As a jewellery designer, her pieces were described as “wearable art” and featured on runways for Toronto Fashion Week, as well as in Elle Canada, Toronto Life, Schon, Plaid, Anokhi Magazine, commercials, film, and television shows. Eliza has also designed costumes for 20 feature film productions. -
In 2020, her focus returned to painting still lifes. Much as Eliza harmonized materials when creating jewelry and costume, she now meticulously composes still-life paintings with her characteristic eye for colour, texture, and a special focus on how objects and their reflections interact.
She first showed her work in 2023, gaining gallery representation the same year at Roberts Gallery. She has shown her work in numerous solo and group shows in the wider Toronto area since then. -
